I have to admit that I really love Christmas: its atmosphere, climate that can catch you in any moment since early December. I always have. For me, it’s time to rest, but not in a ordinary, normal way. To rest and reflect upon the most important things in our lives. Time to take stock of the year ending and plan a new one with hope. Time to enjoy every little moment of the day: a single ray of sunshine before sunset, a spicy tea or coffee, even Christmas shopping. And, last but not least, it’s time to let God – or any other good or faith – be born in our hearts. That’s why I’m so happy about last weekend. I just love suspenseful content: plot, chapter in a book, action in a series. The latter is strongly present in the American legal thriller television series “How to Get Away with Murder” . 6 seasons, 90 episodes of mystery, strong emotions and holding my breath. But let’s start from the beginning.  I started watching this series a long time ago. I have always been drawn to crime stories, whether in book, film or series form. That’s why I liked this one from the start. A story about a invincible law professor who selects five the most ambitious and promising students to help her in conducting court cases... and suddenly and unintentionally they are themselves entangled in a crime. I’ve always loved to read. I’ve been a bookworm ever since I can remember. I love the emotions that a book can evoke. I love the fact that by reading I can move far, far away, without getting out of bed. I love unobvious things in books, specific atmosphere and, above all, a writing style which, although not overdrawn, goes right to my heart and soul.  Unfortunately, I have less time to read recently. But I would still like to write about one book... I read it a little more than a year ago. I mostly read it on the train when I was coming back from the mountains. It’s time for the first review of the series. Moreover, it is one of my favourite series in general. “Las chicas del cable” (eng. “Cable Girls” ) “is a Spanish period drama web television series that ran from April 2017 and concluded in July 2020 produced by Netflix” (first Spanish original produced by Netflix). Set in the late 1920s, more specifically, in 1928, the series is filmed in Madrid, the capital of Spain, in various locations.  You can tell a lot about this series. There is not only a captivating storyline, but also an interesting presentation of history, especially a little section of the fight for women’s rights in Spain. It has arrived. Autumn. And as usual, I feel a little bit overwhelmed, but above all delighted. Seriously, I admire Mother Nature very much: to come up with the autumn? A beautiful season-bridge. In the autumn, paradoxically, I find large deposits of inspiration in me.  I went for a walk recently with my beloved by my side. We benefited from the last time when the sun and warmth went hand-in-hand. I took some photos, and I have remembered how much I miss taking pictures.   Nowadays, things are getting harder and more complicated day by day. The pandemic situation not only in Poland, but basically everywhere; protests and demostrations against the government on the streets; and in addition, shorter days and terribly long nights. We have to do our best not to go insane.  But, really, what can we do to make ourselves feel better?  Make some coffee.
