The greatest crime drama ever
I just love suspenseful content: plot, chapter in a book, action in a series. The latter is strongly present in the American legal thriller television series “How to Get Away with Murder”. 6 seasons, 90 episodes of mystery, strong emotions and holding my breath. But let’s start from the beginning.
I started watching this series a long time ago. I have always been drawn to crime stories, whether in book, film or series form. That’s why I liked this one from the start. A story about a invincible law professor who selects five the most ambitious and promising students to help her in conducting court cases... and suddenly and unintentionally they are themselves entangled in a crime. Can we imagine a better story for a thriller and legal drama?

The lead actress is outstanding and inspiring. Annalise Keating, played by Viola Davis, basically always wins. And if not, she will still do something to win anyway. Her reputation is indisputable and enviable. But only we, the audience, know what is happening behind the scenes of her ideal defence legal processes, in her life, which is not entirely happy.
An ambicious dark-skinned student Michaela (Aja Naomi King) is a warrior. Laurel (Karla Souza) is always slightly mysterious. The funny man, Asher (Matt McGorry), always makes you smile. The unquestionable individualist Connor (Jack Falahee) despite everything wears his heart on his sleeve. And Wes (Alfred Enoch), you never know what is happening in his head. In my opinion, everyone will find at least a part of himself in one of the characters (there are, obviously, more of them, and each one of them is incredibly distinctive) of the series.

The action of this series is brilliant. You never have time to rest. I appreciate this series, among other things, for the fact that each episode ends in such way that you want and in fact MUST turn on the next one to find out what is going on or what just happened. Curiosity is also fuelled by flashbacks or flashes of future events, which of course leave you in shock. Some legal issues shown in the series may seem to be complicated, but it doesn’t affect the overall impression and assessment.
Unfortunately, as I guess in every crime show, people die. Sometimes those you wouldn’t expect or didn’t want to see dead. Sometimes it breaks your heart. But wasn’t the title: How to Get Away with Murder? Every rose has its thorns. You can have only one question in your head til the end of the series: who will be left alive? And will anyone answer for their crimes?
My evaluation: 10/10
